MAY 3, 1950 – DECEMBER 20, 2012

Brenda Lou Albert Ragan went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus. Brenda passed from this life on December 19, 2012 at her home in Cleveland, Texas. Brenda had battled years of cancer. Brenda volunteered for clinical trial research with M.D. Anderson Cancer Research in hopes of aiding in her own recovery but to also help others with cancer and a cure. Hospice was called and it was after midnight by the time they arrived at her home, so her death was called on December 20th. December the 19th was Brenda's Mothers birthday and December 20th was her older sister's, Nelda Sue (Albert) McWilliams birthday. Brenda arrived in Heaven to celebrate with both of them in their heavenly birthdays.

Brenda attended grade school at Cactus, TX., junior high and high school in Dumas, TX.

Brenda worked as a hair stylist across the United States and studied with some well known stylist abroad. Brenda lived and worked many years in Galveston, TX and enjoyed being close to the Gulf where she loved boating, skiing, swimming and being with family and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her only child, her daughter,Tamra Hollenshead, parents, William Dalton and Addie Lou (Hodges) Albert, her older sister, Nelda Sue (Albert) McWilliams, both sets of Grandparents and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Brenda was survived by her husband, Luther (Butch) Ragan of the home, stepdaughter, Heather Ragan, her youngest sister and brother in law, Jan (Albert) and Billy Wood, younger brother, William Don Albert. Four grandsons, Cory Hollenshead, Kaylon Shamblin, Kye Shamblin and Camron Hollenshead, stepgrandchildren, Daniel, Damien and Lauren. Great grandchildren, Isabella, Giana, Josiah, Valentina and Kayden, Four Aunts, Betty Smith, Omega Floyd, Myrna Albert and Odella Hodges and numerous nieces, nephews and beloved cousins . Brenda's best friend, Sallye LaFrance other close friends to name a few, Mrs. Pat Cordia, Vicki, Barbara, Cindy and too many more to list.

Memorial services for Brenda were held on December 22, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Groceville, Conroe, TX. Memorial services were conducted by her brother in law, Rev. Billy Wood. Pallbearers were grandson, Camron Hollenshead, step grandsons, Daniel and Damien, close friends, Glen Barrow and Wayne Howard, honorary pallbearers, husband, Luther Ragan and brother in law, Billy Wood.

Brenda's ashes will be scattered in the Gulf at Galveston, TX., where her daughter's, Tammy were scattered.
