Mrs. Peart, 89, of Alexandria departed this earth Saturday, September 5, 2015 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, after a 5 years battle with breast and ovarian cancers.

Frances graduated from Poland High School as Salutatorian of the Class of 1943 and attended Alexandria Business College. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church and assisted with Vacation Bible School for many years. She worked for Weiss and Goldring for 22 years, five of these as lingerie buyer and 16 years as foundations buyer. She was married to "Cotton" Peart for 63 years and they raised three successful children. She loved bird watching and feeding her backyard birds. She contributed monthly to the Humane Society. Innumerable dogs were loved and raised by her.

She was an excellent cook and thankfully passed some of this on to her grateful daughters. But no one could cook like Mom.

She was preceded to heaven by her father John Tullos who was a minister and mason, mother, Fannie Hathorn Tullos; husband of 63 years, Julian "Cotton" Peart; granddaughter, Kari Julie Morganson. and great grandson, Drew Griffith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Johnny Ray Peart and wife, Melba; daughters, Shari Peart McKnight, June Peart Cryer and husband, Walter; four grandchildren, Ron Peart and wife, Ashley, Heather Peart Daigrepont and husband, Jeremy, Cori Morganson and Erin McKnight and four great grandchildren, Nicholas Lewis, Steele Peart, Phoenix Peart and Lawsyn Peart; beloved dog, Snuffy; and many close friends

The family would like to express special heartfelt thanks to Shirley Ponthieux, her wonderful neighbor who provided many years of compassion and help; Compassionate Care Hospice, and her sitter, Wanda Crooks.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith.
