Ora Hatcher, 95, of Clovis, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Plains Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 18, 1904, in Holdenville, Okla., to Jon Thomas and Elizabeth (Rose) Norman.
Hatcher loved the Lord, her family and friends. Red was her favorite color. She loved flowers, fishing, playing dominoes and Skipbo. She loved to travel with Good Sams and her family. She married Dennis "Dock" Hatcher on Sept. 9, 1923. Hatcher was preceded in death by her paretns; one brother, Jesse; her husband, Dock; one son, Dwight Hatcher; two granddaughters, Adrienne and Darla; and one great-granddaughter, Sandi.
Survivors include her children, Lena Jano of Clovis, d.D. Hatcher of Conchas Dam, Evelyn Seebo of Burkburnett, Texas, Maurice Eckerd of Scottsdale, Ariz., Dorothy Palko of Phoenix and Ruth Hatcher of Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Doris Bond of Clovis; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be be held at 210 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Central Christian Church. Thomas P. Jones will officiate.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James B. Moss and her family and friends of Central Christian Church and the Good Sam Club.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
