Mavoline Johnson, 98, of Hendersonville, died Friday, April 01, 2011, at the Elizabeth House. Born in Swainsboro, GA, she had lived in Chicago, IL and Sale Creek, TN before moving to Hendersonville, in 1994. Her husband, Elmer B. John son, passed away in 1998. She was also preceded in death by a son, Melvin Johnson. A member of Fletcher Seventh Day Adventist Church, her main focus in life was helping others.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Lynn Johnson and his wife Erica of Hendersonville and Wayne Johnson and his wife Sandy of Battle Creek, MI; a daughter, Jeanette Bullock and her husband Charlie of Ooltewah, TN; a sister, Katherine Allen of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, to whom she was fondly known as "grandma" and "GG". She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Fletcher Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Ivan Blake will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
