Military: Veteran of World War II, Korean and Vietnam wars; Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, three Bronze Star Medals, Army Commendation Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and World War II Victory Ribbon. Retired as a master sergeant.
Services: Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
