Warner Robins, GA: Ancel G. "A.G." Rape, 84, died Friday May 7, 2010. Graveside services will be held on Monday May 10th at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Centerville.

Mr. Rape, a native of Warner Robins, lived his entire life in this area except for his military service. During W.W.II he served in the U.S. Army with the 34th infantry regiment in Japan. He served as a heavy machine gunner and a truck driver. During the war he received the Good Combat Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, W.W.II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. Following the war Mr. Rape began work at RAFB and retired after more than 34 years of loyal service.

Mr. Rape was the son of the late Fannie Mae and Ancel Rape, Sr. Due to the death of both parents before he was a year old, Clifford & Ruby Rape Newell took him in and raised him as one of their own. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Alice Ruth NeSmith Rape, four brothers, five sisters and his grandson Donny Rape, Jr.

Survivors include his daughter Wanda Bill Phillips of Monroe, GA, sons John Rape of Jacksonville, FL and Donny Rape of Warner Robins.

Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
