Mrs. Lucy Carlson Dies in Spokane - Mrs. Lucy Carlson,70, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Weber,pioneer Camas Prairie family, died Sunday, March 23 in a Spokane hospital, according to word received by Mrs. Marion Weber, sister-in-law of the deceased. Born July 20, 1881 in Marion County, Kansas, she moved to the prairie with her parents in 1888, locating on a farm near Denver. In 1909 she was married to Rudolph Carlson and they resided in Lewiston a number of years.
Later they farmed near Denver and in the Cottonwood area before moving to Spokane in 1938. Her husband preceded her in death February 3, 1946. Mrs. Carlson was a member of the Christian Science church and also a member of the Spokane War Mothers. She is survived by 5 daughters, Mrs. Beulah Sundt, and Mrs. Bonnie Mead, Spokane; Mrs. Ella Svenningson, Oakland, California; Mrs. Fern Lang, Woodland, Oregon, and Mrs. Harold Porr, Boise; one son Kenneth Carlson, Opportunity, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Anna Anderson, Dinuba, California, and a brother, Eli Weber, Lodi, California. There are also, Orville Carlson, died in June 1949. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home in Spokane. Mrs. Marion Weber and her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Huffman attended the services.
