Per obituary printed in the Washington Post February 25, 1993:

Mrs. Jacobus was a native of New Richmond, Indiana. After graduating from Purdue University she worked as a reporter at the Lafayette Journal and Courier. She also worked as a writer/researcher for the United Educators Encyclopedia. She was also a writer and editor for the American Society of Association Executives and the Clearinghouse for Teacher Education. She moved to the Washington DC area around 1962. Since 1974 she worked for the Energy Department ultimately serving as the chief editor and public information officer. Survivors include her husband of Kensington, Maryland; a son of Bloomington, Indiana; a mother and a sister both of West Lafayette, In; and a brother of San Francisco, Ca. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Jacobus who died in 1990.
