Lena Mae Devenny 82, entered eternal life March 04, 2013 at Casa Del Sol Assistant Living. She was born September 27, 1930 in Pomerene, Arizona to William Arthur Jones and Anna Leah McNeil, both born in Sonora, Mexico. Her parents settled down in Pomerene, Arizona to raise seven children. Her father farmed and raised cattle and retired from the Cochise County Sheriff's Department in 1965. Lena graduated from Benson Union High School in 1948. She played volleyball all through school and won 1st place as the fastest typist in the State of Arizona.

March 16, 1951, she married Robert E. Devenny, a native of Mesilla Valley. Lena worked her adult life in the service industry and retired in 1999. She had a love for horses in her early years. She enjoyed riding and her home in the country. Her biggest love was watching the Braves play baseball.

Her personality and spirit captured all that knew her; she lit up a room up until the end of her life. Lena will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was a strong woman, whom was the hero and soul of her family.

She is survived by the love of her life, her sweet boy, her Chihuahua, Chaco. He was very special to her and made her life important by his unconditional love. She is also survived by her two daughters, Joyce Rosato, (Phil) of Kearney, Arizona, Bobbie –Pinky Grinde, (Greg) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; five grandchildren, Shawna Bastidos, (Robert), of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Dennis Parrack of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Steven Rosato of Gilbert, Arizona, Tonya Devenny of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jeremy Devenny of Chicago, Illinois; seven great-grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor Green, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Daniel Parrack, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Bailey and Dain Rosato of Gilbert, Arizona, Steller and Alexander Devenny of Phoenix, Arizona; one great-great-grandchild, Brooklyn; one brother, C.R.-Bobby Jones, of Riverside, California, two sisters, Evelyn Summerford, of Riverside, California and Vivian Reyes of Westminster, California; many nieces and nephews; many blessed friends.

Lena is preceded in eternal life by her husband, Robert E. Devenny, her son, Dale E. Devenny, her great-granddaughter, Ashley Rae Green, her brother, Floyd Jones, and sister Merl Wright.
