In Middlebury Vermont, WINTON STERLING LOVELAND, 58, of Timber Lane, Fort Salong,NY, formerly of Bloomfield, died Tuesday (July 17,1979) as a result of a drowning accident while on vacation. Born in Hartford, he was raised in Bloomfield and lived in Fort Salonga,NY for 11 years. He attended Bloomfield schools and was graduated from New York University with a degree in mechanical engineering He was the president of Loveshaw Corporation of Deer Park, Long Island, a design and manufacturing company of packaging machinery. He was the designer of the Padlocker Machine which he manufactured. He was a member of the Blue Hills Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

He leaves his wife, Barbara (Lucas) Loveland of Fort Salonga,NY; two sons, Winton S, Loveland,Jr and Wayne Loveland, both at home; two daughters, Nancy Lynn Loveland of Bloomfield and Mary-Anne Loveland, at home; his mother Mrs. Louisa (York) Loveland of Bloomfield; a brother, Ralph Y. Loveland of St. James,NY; and a sister , Mrs. Shirlee L. Butch of Granby.

The funeral will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Blue Hills Baptist Church, with the Rev. Henry Lee Tilley officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield. His family will receive friends at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook Street, Granby, Friday2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
