Caroline was a daughter of Jonathan and Milcah (Cleaver) Biddinger who grew up in Morgan Township of Butler County, OH. She married William Anthony in that place in 1861, the couple eventually moving to the village of Harrison in Hamilton County, OH. Caroline and her husband parented four children, two of whom died in infancy. A daughter, Henrietta, died at the age of seventeen, and one son, William, survived his parents.
