The Fort Worth Star-Telegraph (TX) June 1, 1998 > Marie Alsup, 87, a retired school teacher, died Saturday after an extended illness. She married Ferman Alsup on Aug 24, 1940 and they moved to Fort Worth in 1943. She was preceded in death by her husband Sep. 13, 1997. She is survived by a sister, Martha Shipman of Glen Rose; a nephew Bob Shipman and his wife Sally, of Houston, and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Entombment in Greenwood Mausoleum.
