Son of John Dillard and Nancy Avaline Hayes Neal, born while the family was in Madison, Sevier, Arkansas, on the way to Texas. They were in Atascosa County Texas on the 1860 Census. He was in the Confederate Army. George W. was killed accidentally while working on the family farm. His mother is buried in Mission Burial Park, San Antonio, Texas.
