Nancy L. Hill, 87 of Murphysboro passed away at 1:43am on Friday, October 24, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Nancy was born in Murphysboro on October 6, 1927 a daughter to the late Louis W. and Lucy A. Wayland Followell. She was united in marriage to Elmer A. Hill on June 12, 1945 Elmer preceded her in death on October 13, 1991. Nancy was a member of the Berean Christian Church of Murphysboro and was a homemaker and had been a school bus driver for Murphysboro schools for many years.

Services will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Rev. Troy Humphrey of the Berean Christian Church of Murphysboro will officiate; burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are encouraged and may be made to the Berean Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen and Jim Heininger of Murphysboro, Alice Schemonia of Murphysboro, Betty and Joe Hanna of Hurst, IL.; one son and daughter-in-law, Elmer A. Jr. and Sue Ann Hill of Maricopa, AZ.; seven grandchildren, Jason (Christine) Smith, Laurie (Bob) Neff, Aaron Hanna, Ryan Hanna, Jay (Destiny) Heininger, Jonathan (Kiesha) Hill, and Elizabeth (Jake) Walker; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter Neff, Savannah Neff, Griffin Funk, Norah Heininger, Abigail Hill, Prisca Hill and Micaiah Hill; one brother, Orville (Juanita) Followell; and one sister-in-law, Ruby March. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Aislynn Heininger and Ayden Walter; one son-in-law, Chuck Schemonia; and one sister, Esther Clover.
