Census records for Adam Dinsmore indicate family lived in Vermillion County, Indiana 1830 - 1850.

Copy of a letter that was written to J. Edwin Walker in Raleigh, NC in 1924. The letter was sent to him by the Commissioner of Pensions, Washington, DC regarding the 1812 War Section and Adam's land warrant.
"I have to advise you that from the records of this Bureau, it appears that Adam Dinsmore enlisted in Blount County, Tennessee and served as a private from January 10, 1814 to May 17, 1814 in Captain Duncan'sCompany, Tennessee Militia, against the Creek Indians.

In 1850, he was seventy two years old and a resident of Vermillion County, Indiana. He died there September 14, 1854. Soldier married February 13, 1806 in Tennessee, Grisey M. Debusk, she was allowed bounty land in full satisfaction for the service rendered. In 1855, she was sixty-seven years old and living in Vermillion CO. IN. There is no further family data on file. The Revolutionary and War of 1812 records of this Bureau are open for inspection."
