Judy Gerjuoy, 54, who organized the first Darkover Grand Council and has organized it every year since, died suddenly on March 1 at home in Finland, where she lived with her husband, Tero Heikkinen. He wrote on Facebook: "I found her lying in her bed with her eyes closed and a smile of radiant peace on her face."
Darkover is a convention which focuses on Marion Zimmer Bradley's writing — the 36th annual convention will be held next November 29 – December 1, in Timonium, Maryland.
Gerjuoy was known as Jaelle of Armida in the Society for Creative Anachronism [SCA]. She compiled Medieval Cookbooks – An annotated Bibliography.
