Mrs. Cook was born August 25, 1932, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Wanie Coker and Janie Kirby Coker. She was a graduate of Hebron High School and a homemaker. Mrs. Cook was a member of Manoah Independent Methodist Church and wife of the late William P. "Billy" Cook.
Mrs. Cook was predeceased by brothers, Marion Coker, Ollie Coker, Culton Coker, Wofford Coker, and Mack Ira Coker; and sisters, Ola Mae C. Welch, Cecile C. Young and Madeline C. Lyerly.
