Mary D. Burns, 93, passed away in Colonial Oaks Health Care on April 14, 2016.

Mary was born in Marion on October 16, 1922. She was one of ten children born to the late Lesley H. and Emma Z. (Wolf) Wagoner.

Mary married Dee Clay Burns on October 24, 1943 and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2000. Mary helped Dee with his Home Juice Company. She loved to cook and served many with her catering skills. She loved children and babysat for many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by brother: Merritt (Mary Jane) Wagoner, Gas City

Mary is preceded in death by Brothers: Burr, Billy, Audrey, Mervin and Donald and sisters: Elsie Harris, Martha Burnsworth, Letha Werstler

Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, will handle the arrangements.
Funeral will be Tuesday, with Rev. Mick Simpkins in charge. Burial will be immediately following in the Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion

She passed away in Colonial Oaks Health Care on April 14, 2016.

She is survived by her brother Merritt (Mary Jane) Wagoner, Gas City.

Mary is also preceded in death by Brothers: Burr, Billy, Audrey, Mervin and Donald and sisters: Elsie Harris, Martha Burnsworth, Letha Werstler.

The family of Mrs. Burns would like to thank the nurses and staff of Colonial Oaks and CCU of Marion General Hospital. For the wonderful care that was given to their loved one.

The family will welcome friends for visitation on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 11am to 1pm in the Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion.

Funeral will be at 1pm , Tuesday, in the funeral home with Rev. Mick Simpkins.

Burial will be immediately following in the Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion
