Thomas "Tom" E. Bell, 74, of Greenfield passed away on Sunday March 3, 2013 at the Morristown Manor in Morristown. He was born on February 4, 1939 in Indianapolis, the son of the late Eugene R. and Kathleen (Cox) Bell.
Tom served in the Navy from 1956 to 1959. He retired in 1994 from the Greenfield Police Department after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Greenfield American Legion Post 119, the Fraternal Order of Police and Greenfield Friends Church
Tom is survived by his son, Bradley T. Bell daughters, Laurie Kissee and Catherine Estep, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother, Robert Bell, 1 sister-in-law, 2 nieces and 1 nephew
Preceding him in death by his parents, wife, Sarah (Dillinger) Bell, brother -in- law, Larry Hollingsworth.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 9, 2013 at the Stillinger Family Funeral Home 1780 West Main Street Greenfield, IN 46140, with burial to follow at Park Cemetery. Military Honors by the Greenfield American Legion Post # 119 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 9, 2013 at the funeral home .Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society , 5635 W. 96th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278 or to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 3500 DePauw Blvd., Suite 2070, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
