FULL OBITUARY--

Curtis Bethel Adams, 81, Henderson, passed away Saturday, February 16th, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

He was born in Cairo on June 16th, 1931, to James William Adams Sr. and Verdie Ellen Crowley Adams.

He was retired from Eaton Axle and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a 58-year member of Zion Baptist Church, where he also taught youth Sunday School. He was a member of Jerusalem Masonic Lodge No. 9 and was also a Past Master of the Poole Lodge. He was also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite. Curtis was the owner of The Gun Runner Gunshop and was a lifelong UK basketball fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James William "Pete" Adams and George Adams; one sister, Mary Frances Hoppenstedt; and one step-great-granddaughter, Audrey Nicole Dailey.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Martha Joan Galloway Adams; one daughter, Maura Lynn Adams Heath and her husband, James William, of Henderson; one son, Michael James Adams and his wife, Janice, of Morganfield; one brother, Charles Ray Adams and his wife, Mary Worth Adams, of Anderson, Indiana; two grandchildren, Jared Wade Heath and Morgan Lynn Heath and her fiance, Michael Aaron Scott; one stepgrandson, Brandon Michael Dailey; two stepgreat-grandsons, Bryce Dailey and Trevor Dailey; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Michael Scott, Brennon Bickwermert, Phil Storm, JD Traylor, George Hoppenstedt, and Brandon Dailey.
