He was born in Little Mountain and was the son of the late J.L. Nedward and Bessie Bickley Boland.
Mr. Boland retired from Greenwood Mills, Joanna Plant and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Joanna.
Surviving are two sons, Keith Boland of the home and Wayne Boland (Elaine) of Wetumpka, AL; four granddaughters, Adrienne Boland Weathersby (Jonathan Ash) of Boiling Springs, Amy Boland Moseley (Brian) and Kristi Boland of Wetumpka, AL, and Heather Boland Melsby (Rob) of Alaska; and five great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Boland.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, March 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
