Services Held For Mrs. Alvin Sellers

Funeral services for Mrs. Alvin D. Sellers, 57 a resident of Shamrock since 1954, were held at 10 o'clock Monday morning at the Fundamental Methodist Church.

Mrs. Sellers died in shamrock General Hospital at 5 o'clock Thursday morning, August 2, following a brief illness. She was taken to the hospital only about five hours before her death.

The Rev. Frank Beauchamp, pastor, officiated at the last rites.

Pallbearers were: Johnie Burrell, Raymond Moore, Luke Henley, Vaughan Lister, Bill Rushing and Dale Wells.

Interment was in Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Richerson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ava Estelle Sellers was born May 5, 1905 at Kaufman, Texas and moved to Shamrock after marrying Alvin D. Sellers at Amarillo on September 11, 1954.

She was a member of the Fundamental Methodist Church of Shamrock.

Survivors are: her husband of the home, 109 North Texas Street; two daughters, Mrs. A. R. Crump of Memphis and Mrs. Burl McHamm of Amarillo, one step-daughter, Mrs. David Allen of Amarillo; three sons, E. E. Austin of Odessa, Robert d. Austin of the U.S. Army, Stationed in Frankfurt, Gemany, and Red Martin of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lester Miller of Tahoka; and a brother, Vernon Biddle of Childress.
