Death of Adolph E Anderson

In the death of Adolph E. Anderson the Powell valley loses one of its industrious pioneer farmers. He died as a result of an abscess on the lungs at a Billings hospital, where he had gone with Mrs. Anderson for treatment about the last of September. He died last Saturday, October 9th, and the remains were brought back to Powell for burial, the funeral occurring Wednesday afternoon, Rev. A. B. Campbell, Methodist minister at Deaver, having charge of the services.

Adolph E. Anderson was born at Kleva in Vestergotland, Sweden, on November 30, 1875. Twenty-eight years ago he immigrated to America, first locating at Galva, Illinois. Later he moved to Powell, Wyoming, and has since made his home upon his homestead here. On September 30th, 1910, he was married to Miss Hulda Carlson, and to this union two children were born-Raymond, now age 8, and Helen , age 5. Of his immediate kin he leaves to mourn his departure besides his wife and two children, an aged mother and two brothers, John S. Anderson of Chicago and Carl Anderson of Los Angeles; two sisters, Miss Tekla Anderson and Mrs. Hannah Nelson, both of Los Angels, California. None of the brothers or sisters were here to attend the burial, but a brother, John S. Anderson, was summoned here and arrived after the funeral.

Adolph Anderson was a devoted father and husband; he loved his home and family. He leaves an excellent reputation behind him as neighbor and friend. The people of the Powell valley extend their sincere sympathies to the bereaved wife and children in their loss.
