HANNAH DEE (BORCHARDT) FOGLESONG
(October 30, 1914 - November 22, 1980)

Hannah Dee (Borchardt) Foglesong, 66, former Woodward Resident of Oklahoma City, OK , died Saturday, November 22, 1980 in Midwest City, OK, following a brief illness. (a massive stroke)

She was born in Mooreland, Woodward County, Oklahoma on October 30, 1914. She attended the Pleasant Valley Grade School in Woodward, OK and Mooreland High School in Mooreland, Woodward County, Oklahoma.

Hannah Dee had eight siblings who were Cecil (born July 13, 1902), Lenora (born February 20, 1905) Carrie (born May 6, 1907), Fredia (born August 24, 1909), Frank (born July 31,1911), Alice (born February 28, 1917), Nellie (born February 23, 1920) and Adolph "Sparky" Borchardt (born July 30, 1922).

On February 23, 1933, Hannah Dee married Myrle K. Foglesong at the Woods County Seat, in Waynoka, Woods County, Oklahoma, and they lived in Woodward, OK until about 1945 when they moved to Oklahoma City. Hannah Dee and Myrle Foglesong had eloped, and they married in the preacher's home. Their witness was an overnight guest of the preacher.

To Hannah Dee and Myrle Foglesong's union, five (5) children were born, and they were Delpha Dee (Foglesong) (Boyd) Carson, Leota Lea (Foglesong) Hall, Robert Myrle Foglesong, Elizabeth Marie (Foglesong) (Reagor) Foglesong and Carol Ann (Foglesong) (Assadi) Malik.

Hannah was a member of the Mormon Church. One of Hannah Dee's hobbies was working Crossword Puzzles. She was a very sweet and soft-spoken lady. At the time of her death, Hannah Dee and Myrle Foglesong had been married for forty-eight (48) years.

Hannah was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Daisy (Covington) Borchardt, Mooreland, OK; one daughter, Delpha Dee Carson, Midwest City, OK; one brother, Cecil Borchardt, Mooreland, OK and one sister, Lenora (Borchardt) Watkins.

Besides her husband, Hannah was survived by a son, Robert Foglesong and wife Helen, Del City, OK, three (3) daughters, Leota Hall, Moore, OK; Elizabeth Foglesong, Dallas TX; and Carol Foglesong, Oklahoma City, OK; two (2) brothers, Sparky Borchardt and Frank Borchardt, Moscow, Indiana and four (4) sisters, Nellie (Borchardt) Whitcomb, Woodward; Carrie (Borchardt) Morris, Gate, OK; Freida (Borchardt) Dye, Felt, OK and Alice (Borchardt) Sachs, Denver, Colorado.

Hannah Dee was also survived by six (6) grandchildren, Debra, Joe and Steve Carson; Laura Hall and Mona and Todd Foglesong.

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 1980 in the Chapel of Stecher Mortuary in Woodward, OK, with Marshall Sullivan and Link Alley officiating. Pallbearers were Joe and Steven Carson, Merril Whitcomb, Gary Whitcomb, Jay Harris and Sean Telham.

Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Woodward County, Oklahoma.
