Mrs. Julia Virginia Clark Walker
Mrs. Julia Virginia Clark Walker, 91, of Marshallville, formerly of Louisville, entered into rest on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville.
Mrs. Walker was a daughter of the late James W. Clark and Mary Little Clark of Louisville. She was a graduate of Louisville Academy, and attended both Wesleyan College and the University of Georgia.
On May 19, 1943, she married Robert Casper Walker and was a wife and homemaker until his death in 1993. She had lived in Louisville, Albuquerque, N.M., and Panama Canal Zone prior to retiring to Tifton in 1972.
Mrs. Walker was a member of Tifton First United Methodist Church and the Tifton community until she entered the Oaks Nursing Home.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at Louisville City Cemetery, with Rev. David Hibberts officiating.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; four brothers; and a grandson, Robert Damon Walker.
Survivors include three sons, Robert C. Walter Jr. of Marshallville, James W. Walker of Stow, Ohio, and William C. Walker of Deatsville, Ala.; three grandchildren, Ben Walker of Birmingham, Ala., Emily Stringfellow of Millbrook, Ala., and Mathew Walker of Stow, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
