922 Boston Drive, died at Saint Joseph Hospital & Health Center at 7:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 1987.
Born in Hatfield, Ind., Feb. 19, 1910,he was the son of Daniel and Maude (Hullett)Tilly. He was married Nov. 5 1955, to Gladys Mumaw, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Carolyn Degenkolb and Mrs. Russell (Joan) Hoff, bith of Tipton, and Mrs. Elmer (Kathleen)Byers and Naomi Miller, both of Kokomo; a stepdaughter, Patsy Kotona of Lancaster, Calif.; a son Max Tilly of Tipton; a stepson, David Mumaw of Kokomo; two sisters, Susie Good of Evansville and Bernice Stateler of Loughman, Fla.; 20 grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 20 step-great-grandchildren. A son, brother and stepdaughter preceded him in death.
He worked 22 years as an inspector at Chrysler Corp. untill his retirement in 1974. He attended St. Luke's United Methodist Church and was a member of United Auto Workers Local 685.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary with the Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
