Bobbie E. (Flowers) Turner went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 3, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Bobbie was born December 10, 1935 in Grayson County to Hairm Avery and Artelia (McDaniel) Flowers.

She was a long time resident of Kaufman and was married 57 years to Royce D. Turner, former Baptist pastor and Dallas Police officer, who preceded her in death in 2009.

She was dedicated and devoted to her family. She loved gardening and painting and was known for her green thumb. She could pinch off a leaf or twig at a nursery and make it grow. Our family said she could make a rock sprout leaves and grow. Bobbie was a testament to love and will be greatly missed.

Bobbie is survived by her son Larry Turner of Kaufman, her daughter and son-in-law Lynn Turner Fanion and Neil Fanion of Kaufman; granddaughter Elizabeth and husband Reggie Johnson of Concord, CA; grandson Nickolas and wife, Donna Turner of Winnsboro; grandson Zachary Turner of Kaufman; great grandchildren, Treyce, Teyla and Jazmine of Concord, CA and Kristan of Winnsboro; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Sunflower Park for the excellent care they gave her the past months.

Funeral service will be at 2:00pm, Friday, March 8, 2013 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel in Kaufman with interment to follow at Haven of Memories in Canton. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Thursday, March 7, at the funeral home.
