According to his death certificate, he died of a fracture of the base of the skull, molar and nasal bones caused from an accidental fall from a load of hay caused by runaway horses, on East Main Street in Westfield, Massachusetts. He resided at 13 Greene Avenue in Westfield, Massachusetts and was buried on May 17, 1910.
