Nellie passed away two months later due to an infection which set in after she was injured during a fall. She worked as a telephone operator and as a clerk at Woolworth's before her marriage. Like her father and brother, she had red hair. She is interred in the Rudow plot, which is visible from the plot in which her parents were later interred.
