J. C. (Cicero) Rose
HILLSBORO- J. C. (Cicero) Rose of Hillsboro, a retired farm equipment mechanic, died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was 78.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Weldon Barnard officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.
Mr. Rose was born Jan. 6, 1914, in the Huron community in Hill County. He lived in the Whitney and Hillsboro areas most of his life. He married Ann Williams on Oct. 15, 1932
Mr. Rose was a member and former chief of the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Janette Lane) Carney of Burleson, Mrs. Billy (Annette) Little of Waco and Mrs. Billy (Donna) Hayes of Hillsboro, seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family has designated the American Heart Association for memorials.
