Barney Wayne Benson Jr., 46, of Yazoo City, died on Feb. 5, 2013 in Humphreys County.

Funeral services were held Feb.9, 2013 in the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lewis Kahl officiating and Jay Abel giving the eulogy. Burial followed at Harlons Creek Cemetery in Holmes County.

Mr. Benson was born on Jan. 30, 1967 in Jackson to Barney Wayne and Linda Benson.

He was a regger supervisor for Longnecker Offshore Drilling Company.

He was preceded in death by his father, Barney Wayne Benson Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Abel Benson of Yazoo City; a sister, Allison B. Crawford of Madison; tbree nieces, Abbie Abel, Morgan Benson and Zoe Quinn; and special Aunt Doylie Spencer of Yazoo City.

Honorary pallbearers were Lawrence Guion, Jack Spencer, Darell Mills, and Kimmy Drury.

Pallbearers were Roy Abel, Jay Abel, Tim Spencer, Britton Spencer, Mark Guion and Michael Caston.

Memorials may be made to the Hudspeth Center in honor of Zoe Quinn Crawford.
