Lela Mae Helman Rager, 96, Graceton, formerly of Josephine, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at her daughter's home in Graceton. The daughter of Amos and Lela Kunkle Helman, she was born Sept. 1,1903, in Blairsville. She was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by three daughters,
Dorothy Pavlick, Graceton; Audrey Ward and her husband, Robert, Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Janet Brink and her husband, David, Girard, Ohio; three sons, Todd Rager, Erie;
Carl Rager and his wife, Wanda, Black Lick, and Robert Rager and his wife, Lana, Derry; and one sister, Jean Shearer, New York; 31 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren
and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Todd, who died
in 1944; a daughter, Pat Reese; two sons, Bill and Don Rager; two brothers Ed and Bill Helman and four sisters,
Audrey Huey, Pat Helman, Katherine Miller and Doris Irwin.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home in Blairsville, where a funeral service will held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Herb Phar officiating. Interment will be made in Blairsville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to the Indiana County Hospice, Route 119 Professional Center, Indiana,
