Bonnie Jo Phillips, 79, of West Burlington died at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Burlington Care Center.
Born January 4, 1934 in Macomb, Illinois, she was the daughter of Kenneth Lee and Nellie Mae Wilson Haulk. On August 26, 1951 she married Robert Monroe Phillips in Macomb. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2002.
Mrs. Phillips worked as a housekeeper with Burlington Medical Center and Great River Medical Center - Klein Center. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Blackhawk Saddle Club. She was a long time CB'er and a member of the Paddlewheelers CB Club. She enjoyed camping, especially at Geode and riding motorcycles with her late husband, Facebook "Farm Town", hot air balloons and bingo. She also was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and an animal lover and a "winter Texan" from 1995 - 2002. She had a great sense of humor, was very witty and had a loving family and friends.
Survivors include her four children, John Phillips, Randall (Luella) Phillips, Connie (Bill) Beriou and Robbie (Lea) Phillips all of Burlington; grandchildren, Troy (deceased), Emily (deceased), Travis (Laura), Aaron (Shawn), Daniel, Jeramie, Crystal (Bob) Mabe, Amanda Harris, Elizabeth (Bill) Trimble, Tommy (Brandi) Harris, Kayla Beriou, Chad, Tim (April) and Sara; great grandchildren, Ashley, Nichole, Grant, Garrett, Kyla, Kyra, Brandon, Bobbi Jo, MaKayla, Harley Mabe, Anthony Wheeler, Kira Harris, Jazmyne, Lexi, Katie, Colby, Camden, Kodie, Reality, Shawn, Alexandra, Brad, Alli, Wade, Olivia and Katie; two great-great grandchildren, Anna and Grayer; one brother, Wilson (Sharon) Haulk of Long Beach, Mississippi; one half sister, Judy Haulk of San Diego, California; one half brother, Tony Haulk of Springfield, Oregon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two grandchildren, Troy and Emily and her little dog, Foxie.
