Services for Carl F. Leidner, 68, of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel St., Avenel.
Mr. Leidner, who died Sunday at home, was employed with the Woodbridge Police Department for 25 years, retiring as a detective in 1984.
He served in the Navy from 1948 through 1953.
Mr. Leidner was a member of the Honor Legion of the Police Department of the State of New Jersey, the Middlesex County chapter of the Retired Policeman and Fireman's Association, and a life- member of the Woodbridge Policeman's Benevolent Association.
Born in Perth Amboy, he lived in Avenel for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Grace; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Kohm; two sons, Carl F. Jr. and Ronald C.; two brothers, Gus and Bobby; a sister, Mrs. Florence King, and seven grandchildren.
