OXFORD, IN - John Hubert Noffsinger, 86, of Oxford, Indiana, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 9:30AM at his home. Mr. Noffsinger was born August 29, 1926 in Midland, KY. He was a roofer with Roofing Union Local 11 in Chicago, and was a member of Fowler Baptist Church in Fowler, IN. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by a son, John Corbett Noffsinger.
Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Lee Jones Noffsinger; sons Charles Thomas (Lynn) Noffsinger of Murfreesboro, TN, Ronnie (fiancee' Roberta) Noffsinger of Boswell, IN, and Michael (Rebecca) Noffsinger of Harrington, DE; daughters Shirley Noffsinger of Oxford, IN, Brenda (Ken) Alexander of Crofton, Pamela (Raul) Marin of Boswell, IN, and Shawna (Tim) Campbell of Oxford, IN; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.
