Born Mary Lou Schlett on September 29, 1936 in De Soto a daughter to Adam and Lillie (nee Cook) Schlett.
Survived by her husband Norman Sloan, De Soto; two step-children: Sue (Steve) Kingsland, De Soto and Gary (Marci) Sloan, Colorado Springs, CO; one brother: Andy (Darlene) Schlett, De Soto; two sisters-in-law Dorothy Schlett, De Soto and Lucille Schlett, Springfield; one brother-in-law Henry Webb, St. Louis; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Martha Becker, Bertha Boyer, and Theresa Webb; three brothers: Adam Schlett, Fred Schlett, and Edward Schlett; one sister-in-law Marjorie Schlett; two brothers-in-law: Glennon Becker and Ray Boyer; and a daughter-in-law Rhonda Sloan.
She worked for many years for the Roop Publishing Company and most recently as the bookkeeper for Hamel and Rowe Hardware. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella Circle #659.
