Funeral services for Dorothy Mildred Poteet, 93 of Crowley, Texas, will be held 1:00 pm., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Madisonville Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Lovette officiating. Interment will be in the Ten Mile Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am. to service time on Saturday.
Dorothy Mildred Poteet was born in Madisonville, Texas on July 6, 1919. Her parents were Roy and Alva Zetta (Black) Lucas. She had lived in Crowley since 2007 but also lived in New Waverly.
Mrs. Poteet lived most of her life in Madisonville where she attended the First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her yard. Mrs. Poteet was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe Maurice Poteet.
Survivors include her son, Morris Poteet and wife, Dorothy of Crowley, Texas and a sister, Margie McLain of Conroe, Texas.
