Fred Hirsch, formerly of Fairbury, died at Beatrice Monday. Mr. Hirsch is the son of Mrs. Alwine Hirsch, residing at 1115 Maple St. Mr. Hirsch died of the flu. He leaves a wife and three children, besides his mother and sisters in this city.

Mrs. Hirsch died Sunday, November 3, 1918, at the home of her brother, J. K. Johnson, at 207 Sixth street, Fairbury, Nebr., at the age of 35 years, 7 months and 11 days, from pneumonia.
Her husband died about 10 days previous of the same disease. She leaves three small children, besides four brothers, J. K., T. A., Ress and Urba Johnson, all residing here. Mrs. Hirsch was a resident of Beatrice coming to Fairbury on the occasion of her husband's funeral and being taken sick while here.
Funeral services were held at the house Monday afternoon, Rev. Orrill officiating and burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
