He was married Oct. 6, 1946, in Murphysboro to Claudia Nichols. He leaves his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Lynn Malcum of East Moline.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murphysboro. Mr. Hanna was a veteran of World War II, a member of Post 127 of the American Legion, VFW Post 7190, and Elks Lodge 572, all in Murphysboro. Arden was a meal supervisor for Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Mr. Hanna died at the age of 53 in Memorial Hospital in Carbondale after a long illness.
