Mrs. Pearl Ruth Drury was born in 1895 in Murphysboro. She leaves two sisters, Ms. Evelyn Moore of Murphysboro and Mrs. Edna Jacob of St. Louis, and one half-sister, Mrs. Eva Pleasant of Murphysboro.

She married Joseph F. Drury in 1921. Mr. Drury survives.

Mrs. Drury had lived in the Murphysboro area all her life. She was a saleslady at the Ross Store. She was a member of the First Methodist church of Murphysboro and the Auxiliary unit of Paul Stout Post 127, the American Legion, of Murphysboro.

Mrs. Drury died at the age of 58 in the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
