John William Donaldson was the son of William Donaldson and Priscilla M. Chamberlaine. He was in the American Navy, of pirate chasers. John was a ship's carpenter and died at sea in the West Indies, and buried at sea. Although John had a lady he was interested in, he died before he married her.
