John is the 2nd child of AJ & Martha.

John died from an awful accident of a Broken back by a tree falling on him at the age of 7 years,

Aunt Ellen being the eldest & the next couple of children including Uncle John were allowed to watch their father AJ felling trees on the understanding of staying way back from proceedings.

But children being children they crept a little closer. Just as Grandad was dropping a tree he saw them but it
was too late & the tree landed on John breaking his back.

As they lived way out in the bush they had to travel some miles to get to the nearest Doctor. John died on the way there.
