Earl H. Beine of Slinger, Washington County, Wisconsin, USA, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 79 years on Sunday, 06 May 2012. Earl was born on 15 April 1933 in Slinger, the son of Herman and Sarah (nee Tennies) Beine. He was a graduate of Slinger High School with the Class of 1951. One of his most memorable highlights was playing football for the Slinger Owls and scoring the winning touchdown. Earl proudly served in the United States Army from 1953-55. He married the love of his life, Joan (nee Scholtes), on 30 June 1956 at St. Kilian Catholic Church of Hartford. The couple resided and raised their family in Hartford until settling in Slinger in 1990. Earl worked for the Village of Fox Point as a Superintendent from 1955 until his retirement in December 1989. Earl had a green thumb when it came to gardening and grew the most magnificent prize-winning roses. He cherished special moments at his cabin in Harrison Hills with the family, especially hunting and fishing with his son. Earl was also an avid woodworker. He held a special place in his heart for time spent with his granddaughters and great-granddaughter.

Earl was survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joan Beine, cherished children Keith (Joyce) Beine of West Bend and Karen (Jeff) Meyer of St. Lawrence, adored granddaughters Nicole Beine, Holly and Amy Meyer, special great-granddaughter Lacey Beine, dear sister Dorothy (Norman) Doll of Slinger, sister-in-law Joan Beine of Slinger, and brother-in-law Frank Otto of Hartford. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by brothers Donald and Richard Beine and sister Bernice Otto.

Visitation was on Friday, 11 May at St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger. Mass of Christian burial was followed at the church. The Reverend Richard Stoffel officiated. Interment was at St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.
