Mrs. Hoover was an active volunteer in the community working with the Red Cross and co-founder of Erie County Alert and was a delivery person with the Erie Times-News and the Green Sheet for many years. She was a former member of the Star Athletic Club.
Widow of Robert H. Hoover. Preceded in death by two sons, Robert Jr . and Mark Hoover; and two brothers, William and Richard Oakes.
Survivors include her companion, Alvin Preston; six children, Linda Dragar (John) of Union City, Denise Clausen (Donald), Diane Ludwig and Donald Hoover (Delite) all of Wesleyville, Richard Hoover (Dorothy) of Erie, Clifford Hoover of Arizona; also survived by five foster children, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Interment, Lakeside Cemetery.
