BETTENDORF - Services for Dorothy Rode, Bettendorf, will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
Dorothy died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.
Dorothy was born Oct. 26, 1925, in Davenport, to Earl and Vernett (Reinmann) Poehls. She married Richard Rode in April 1958 in Davenport. She attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and Davenport High School. Recently she had attended St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She was involved in Chord Jewels of Davenport and the No Name Dance Club of the Quad-Cities. Dorothy enjoyed ballroom dancing, crocheting, socializing with friends and especially loved to spend time with her granddaughters. Memorials may be made to the Heartspring Foundation. Survivors include her husband, Richard; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Linda Rode, Davenport; granddaughters, Amy, Lora and Kay Rode, all of Davenport; and a sister, Patricia Powers, Cudahy, Wis.
