Billy Harold Coffman, 76, of Atkins, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his home.

The son of Clyde and Nora Lee Peters Coffman, he was born April 12, 1936 in Pope County, Arkansas. He was a 1955 graduate of Pottsville High School and a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.

He and Geraldine Duvall were married on December 21, 1957 at Pottsville. Billy was a long-haul truck driver with B & B Trucking for 27 years and later worked at Con-Agra until his retirement in 2001. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Lily Edwards and Faye Ridgley.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Coffman, Atkins; a daughter, Billie Darlene Halsted, Atkins; 3 grandchildren, Lt. Scottie Ryan Wiley, Nellis AFB, NV and his wife, Capt. Jamie Houston Wiley, NAS Pensacola, FL, Traci Erin Halsted, Atkins, Michaela Danielle Halsted, Pottsville; great-grandson, Houston Reid Wiley; Sister, Mattie Hodge, Aransas Pass, TX; 3 brothers, Johnny Coffman, Moreland, Ray Coffman, Dardanelle and Edward Coffman, Austin, TX.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Dean McCormick will officiate. Burial will be at Bell's Chapel Cemetery, Atkins by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be at 6 - 8 P.M., on Friday, at the funeral home.
