DAVENPORT - Morgan Wesley Lamp Huffman, 13, of Davenport, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com
Morgan was born Oct. 19, 1999, in Davenport, the daughter of Thomas Huffman and Amber (Lamp) LaBarge. She attended Frank L. Smart Intermediate School where she was a seventh grader and was on the honor roll and student senate. She loved animals and was an incredible artist who enjoyed fashion design and craftwork. Her greatest desire was to be a fashion designer. She had a certain peace about her which lifted everyone. She fought a hard battle for an entire year never complaining , staying strong and showing no fear.
Those left to honor her memory include her parents, Amber (Matt) LaBarge, Davenport and their children: Aaron, Joe, Madison, Jackson, Maxx and Marlee; her father, Tom (Melissa Sheffey) Huffman and their children: Alisha, Blake, London, Benjamin, TJ, Pixie Jane and Havilah; grandparents, Jim Huffman, Davenport; Marise Bennet; Deb Clark, LeClaire, and Roxanne and John LaBarge along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Her grandparents, May Sue Sheffey, Noah William Sheffey and Wesley Lamp preceded her in death.
