Eunice M. York, 100, died Sunday Aug 10, 2003, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn.
She was born Jan 26, 1903, in Linn Township, the daughter of Walter and Eva (Weter) Ledger.
She married Lawrence York Aug 21, 1923, in Lake Geneva. He died May 3, 1987.
She was a member of Linn Presbyterian Church, a Linn 4-H leader for many years, the Linn Homemakers and the Linn Farmers Club.
She is survived by five children, Ardith Wissell, Zenda, James, Abbotsford, Walter, Lake Geneva, Margaret Lee, LaFarge, and Ellis, Clinton; 28 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug 12, at 11 a.m. at the Linn Presbyterian Church, Linn Township. The Rev. James Pollard will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Linn Hebron Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug 13, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Toynton's Walworth Funeral Home, Walworth. The family suggested memorials to the Linn Presbyterian Church or the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice.
