Truck Crash Fatal To Man
W. P. Campbell, 24, R. D. 2, Slippery Rock, Dies In Accident

Wayne Perry Campbell, aged 24, of R. D. 2, Slippery Rock, died in New Kensington, Friday evening following a truck accident. Mr. Campbell was a self employed trucker and was well known in the Slippery Rock community, having been a resident there for the past 20 years. No details of the accident, as to how it occurred, other than it took place at New Kensington have been revealed. The body of the young man has been brought to the Ligo funeral home in Slippery Rock to be prepared for burial.

Would have been 25 had he lived until August. His family moved to Slippery Rock in 1931, where Wayne has resided since, attending the schools there. He was a son of the late Perry Campbell, now deceased and Rose Lauener Campbell, the latter who survives. Surviving, in addition to his mother, is a brother, Theodore Campbell of Slippery Rock R.D. 2. Funeral services will be conducted from the Ligo funeral home in Slippery Rock on Monday at 2 p.m., with Oscar Johnstone, seminary student, officiating. Interment will follow in the United Presbyterian cemetery at Plaingrove. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Sunday where the family will be present to meet them.
