Born August 7, 1943 in Lennox, California the daughter of Harold and Lorene (Lang) Benolken. On June 16, 1962 she married Clarence Niggemeyer, Jr. in Farmington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2002.
Survivors include her four sons Scott (Rebecca) Niggemeyer of Fort Madison, Iowa, Chris (Sue) Niggemeyer of Donnellson, Iowa, Terry (Julie) Niggemeyer of Keokuk, Iowa, Dustin Niggemeyer of Fort Madison, Iowa, one daughter Candice (Preston) Meyer of Fort Madison, Iowa, nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Clarence, two brothers and one sister in infancy.
Sharron was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington, Iowa. She had worked for Scheaffer Pen Co. in Fort Madison, Iowa and was a foster parent. Sharron enjoyed traveling and being with her family.
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa. Where the family will meet with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. that evening, a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington, Iowa with Father Dennis Hoffman & Father David Wilkening as Celebrants. Burial will be at the Primrose Cemetery rural Primrose, Iowa.
Memorials may be made in her memory to the Diabetes Foundation.
